MANILA -- ABS-CBN said Thursday it was rolling out TVplus Go nationwide for mobile users, widening the scope of its digital television audience.

TVplus Go, which mounts on Android smartphones, is the on-the-go version of ABS-CBN's TVplus box, the country's largest media and entertainment company said.

TVplus Go works in areas with digital TV signal: Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Batangas, Tarlac, Pangasinan, Baguio City, Cavite, Laguna, Iloilo City, Bacolod City, Metro Cebu, Cagayan de Oro City, and Davao City.

It costs P799 and is available in SM Hypermarket, SM Savemore, SM Department Store, Gadget Hub, SM Business Center, SM Appliance, Robinsons Appliance, Abensons, Villman, Silicon Valley, DIY, Handyman, and Puregold stores nationwide.

TVplus Go supports Android 5.0 or higher, RAM of at least 1GB and at least a dual-core processor. Phones with Type-C USB need to use a USB-OTG adaptor.

ABS-CBN TVplus sold over 8 million boxes as of July 2019; and iWant, a streaming app for Filipino movies and TV shows launched last year, has been downloaded 11.3 million times.
